Nakano City Civic Hall

ソソラホールの耐震改修

本施設は、開館から50年以上経過したホール棟と会議棟のリノベーションである。老朽化対策に加え、中野市の新たな文化芸術の拠点となる改修が求められた。さらに、50年の使用のための長寿命化を図った。既存のホール棟と会議室棟は、フロアレベルが異なり、建物同士が離れているため一体利用が難しい施設であった。そこで、大ホール棟と会議室棟の間にレベル差を解消しつつ、新たな市民の居場所となるロビー空間を中心に諸室を増築しながら回遊性を持つ動線を新たに計画した。ホール棟では音響シュミレーションを基に、質の高い響きを持つホール環境となる改修を行うとともに、両サイドの客席を囲み型とし一体感を感じる客席空間へ改修し、会議室棟では一部床を抜き、多目的な小ホールへと改修した。

Renovation

Seismic retrofitting of Sosora Hall

This facility involves the renovation of the Hall Building and Conference Building, which have been in use for over 50 years since their opening. In addition to addressing aging infrastructure, the renovation aimed to transform the space into a new hub for culture and the arts. Furthermore, efforts were made to enhance the facility's longevity to accommodate another 50 years of use. The existing Hall Building and Conference Building were difficult to use together due to different floor levels and the distance between the two structures. Therefore, the renovation plan included eliminating the level difference between the large hall and the conference building, while adding new rooms to create a vibrant community space. Additionally, the circulation flow was redesigned to encourage movement throughout the facility. In the Hall Building, acoustic simulations were used to create an environment with high-quality sound, and the seating arrangement was reconfigured to create a more cohesive atmosphere by enclosing the sides of the seating. In the Conference Building, part of the floor was removed and transformed into a multipurpose hall.
