Layout plan considering the site characteristics A private company took over a municipal nursery school in Noda City, Chiba Prefecture, and reconstructed the school building.Because of the strong northerly winds that blow during the winter, the preschool building was placed on the northeast side of the site to protect it from the northerly winds.The conical roof is high on the central playroom and low on the side of the nursery facing the yard, creating a friendly scale that eliminates the feeling of oppression from the yard side of the building.By separating the yard for infants (0-2 years old) from the yard for toddlers (3-5 years old), children can play and play without hesitation,The garden for infants and toddlers aged 0 to 2 is separated from the garden for toddlers aged 3 to 5, so that they can play together without any hesitation.Symbolic playground equipment integrated with the structure The structure is a wooden structure made of conventional frame construction using four-sided lumber for residential use.The roof structure of the distinctive playroom is a dynamic structure that is highly integrated with the net play equipment.The symbolic three-dimensional ring structure in the center of the roof is supported by a ring truss made of new-circle H steel for the upper and lower strings and wood for the lattice members, with a radially extending cane supporting the middle of the roof beams.This ring truss is raised by two large black diagonal columns that extend their legs to both sides of the center of the playroom, and the front half of the ring leaps out into the center of the space to support the semicircular playroom roof.The conical net playground equipment integrated with this truss becomes the symbol of the park, and the playground is designed to allow visitors to play around three-dimensionally indoors regardless of weather conditions by means of a passageway around the perimeter of the playroom atrium and the elevating playground equipment.
