沖縄県石川岳の麓につくられた、200人収容の、こどものための自然体験宿泊施設。大屋根を中心に4つに分割された宿泊棟により構成されたポーラスな建築である。空中にブリッジが走り、中央の円形広場とともにこども達の交流の装置の役割を果たしている。宿泊棟のコンクリートの外壁の厚さは50㎝あり、沖縄らしい影を生むハナブロックの建築が追求された。
This nature lodging facility for children has a capacity of 200 and is constructed at the foot of Mt. Ishikawa in Okinawa Prefecture. The lodging building is divided into four sections and centered under a massive roof to give it a porous construction. There is also a mid-air bridge that, along with the central spacious area shaped like a circle, functions as a way to promote exchanges between children. The outer concrete walls of the lodging building were made to be 50 centimeters thick in aim of a flower block construction unique to Okinawa.
